One of the very first coffee shops I hit up here ending up being the best one I've tried so far.
Picture this, Bandra, February 2023. We've been trekking all over the city and we're a bit early to catch the sunset at Bandra's Joggers Park, so I did what I always do in these situations-- I searched for "coffee near me". Up popped Boojee Cafe in Pali Hill, 4.6 stars, perfect spot to check out. Now the name of this cafe defff matches the neighborhood it's in. Pali Hill is easily in the top five most bougie neighborhoods in the city and has some of the most expensive ~cottages~ aka villas. Hella rich & famous people live or have lived here over the years and it's a hip spot to be (why do I feel like a grandma phrasing it like that)
On to the cafe-- first off, loved the vibe. Classic black on black with lots of plants, white & wood accents, and well laid out interior. It was packed but it felt like you could easily navigate without knocking into people. You can see the baristas putting in work behind the stylish counter, grinding up beans fresh per order and steaming tf out of some milk. It's clearly a local spot to be, with everyone from families to young couples, to older uncles gathered for an afternoon coffee. Felt like the right combination of fancy without being pretentious *cough, looking at you For Five*
I stayed simple and got the iced coffee with milk and it was lovely. Perfect combo, not too sweet, and an amount of ice that an American would approve of. It was espresso over ice with milk on top and I got to stir and swirl it up myself which I love doing. Like my own culinary chemistry experiment lol. Maa got a chocolate croissant that was flaky and warm and delicious. Not sure if those are made in house but they do have a legit food menu so I wanna go back and spend my future downpayment money on some avocado toast.
Unfortunately this spot/neighborhood is like an hour away minimum so I can't just pop in but it's very much on my list of spots to hit up ASAP now that I'm back in the city long term.
9/10, would & will go again.
